Kenneth C. Baumgardt, PE | President, Co-Founder
Ken is a co-founder and president of Edge Consulting. He leads the Telecommunications engineering team in providing exceptional service to our clients. Ken has worked in the wireless telecommunications industry for the majority of his career and previously served as Treasurer of the Wisconsin Wireless Association (WiWA). Ken has managed multiple large scale wireless build‐out projects and has extensive knowledge of the overall telecommunications site development process. As a result of his hands‐on management style, he has proven to be an excellent leader of our company. Ken received his BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Marquette University (1993) and MS in Environmental Engineering from UW‐Madison (1994). He is a registered professional engineer in WI, MN, IL, IA, MI, MO, OK, KS and ME.
Arlen J. Ostreng, PE | Vice President, Co-Founder
Arlen is a co‐founder and vice president of Edge Consulting. His primary areas of expertise include: land & site development, public utilities (sanitary sewer, drinking water) and infrastructure development for radio & telecommunication sites. He is also experienced with athletic facility planning, design and maintenance. Arlen is well versed in the overall project development process including: conceptual planning, budgeting, design, bidding and construction phases. Over the course of his career, he has been intimately involved in all of these phases from both a production and supervisory position. He takes pride in maintaining “hands on” involvement in the projects he undertakes. Arlen is experienced in project coordination with governing agencies at the federal, state and local levels. In addition, he is accustomed to representing clients in public forums and working with concerned citizens to understand project goals. He has successfully helped a multitude of clients from both the private and public sectors to complete their projects on time and within budget. He received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin‐Madison (1993) and is registered as a professional engineer in the states of WI, MN, IA, IL, MI, NE, ND, SD, NC and KS.
David Lyshek, PE | Project Manager
Dave joined Edge Consulting in 2003 and is a co‐owner. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and has been involved in the planning, design and construction of a variety of engineering projects. His primary areas of expertise include telecommunication installations and environmental compliance. Dave is experienced at managing multiple phased projects from initial conception through design and specification development, construction oversight, and final QA/QC. Since the early 1990s he has been involved in regional telecommunications network roll-outs. He has embraced the fast paced technology growth and continues to be involved in modernization, DAS, and Small Cell projects. Dave is committed to client service. He places value in a client’s overall objective and proactively works towards their success. Dave received his BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UW‐Madison in 1994 and has worked in the environmental consulting and wireless telecommunication engineering sectors throughout his career.
Andrew Bradley | Project Manager
Andy joined Edge Consulting in 2003 and is a co‐owner. He is a project manager with our telecommunications team. Andy received his BS in Geography & Sociology from the University of Wisconsin‐Whitewater in 1998 and has worked in the wireless telecommunication engineering sector for his the majority of his professional career. He has extensive knowledge of telecommunication site design and construction and is experienced in managing wireless build‐out projects. Andy takes ownership in his client’s goals and pride in his work. He also has a history of success at facilitating a team approach between, client, engineer and contractor.
