Our UAS department was in Las Vegas this week to attend the Commercial UAV Expo Americas.  This Expo is North America’s leading trade show and conference for the commercial drone market.  Here are Charlie’s comments on the event:

The Commercial UAV Expo was a great opportunity for us to talk with and learn what other companies like ours are doing and what they are experiencing. We were able to talk with software engineers that focus on our specific types of work and learn new ways to work with the data our UAS collect. The growth and increased use of photogrammetry captured by unmanned aircraft or drones means there are more companies making software options for highly accurate point cloud, DSM and orthomosaic files to use in CAD and ArcGIS tools. Because this event was so large and so well attended we were also able to see, touch and test fly the newest unmanned aircraft and camera options to help us plan for the future.
