Our UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Team was called into action to assist police and local fire departments in a search and rescue mission over the weekend.  We were asked to utilize our commercial aircraft with its thermal imaging capabilities (FLIR camera) to aid in the search for a missing person. We worked closely with the local fire departments and were able to fly and search large area quickly and safely. We have volunteered our time and assisted in similar missions in the past as members of the Wisconsin Emergency Management Air Coordination Group’s Drone Network.  This is a list of qualified commercial sUAS pilots, companies and agencies that are called in to fly UAS “drone” search and rescue, law enforcement or disaster recovery missions.
