Our UAS Group has been working cooperatively with Scopito ApS, a Denmark Company, over the last year to assist in the development and refinement of their “Scopito” UAS software specifically for the communication tower industry.  The software is designed to manage the capture, storing, analysis and sharing of large amounts of image based inspection data which is a common with UAS / Drone inspection workflows.   Edge provided information on the reality of using UAS “drones” for inspection of communication towers and other critical infrastructure.  In addition, we helped further the understanding of how UAVs are used for environmental purposes like the osprey nest sighting and monitoring.  Charlie Toms contributed to Scopito’s article “Cell Tower Inspections Worth Gold” shown below.
