Edge’s UAS “drone” team was hired by Alliant Energy to record the implosion of the Nelson Dewey Generation Station using unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), or “drones”, in Cassville, WI on December 14, 2017. Edge was asked to capture the implosion from the air to give a unique perspective of the event. This was a unique project with a specific set of complications and challenges. With some planning and preparation everything worked out well and we got some great footage of this rare event.
